French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Beret - $32.00

 

This adorable Beret is the first one of my latest creations. Created from two t-shirts, it's actually re-versible. One side has the print from the front of the shirt, and the other is a plain color shirt with a vintage pink and white crocheted doiley. The rose is hand-made from left over pieces and a pin-enclsoure on the back for easy placement. Best part of this beret, one size fits all!

Just an adorable find! This garment was so easy to give it a more shabby chic vintage look to it. I added a large piece of lace to the bottom, which I adore. And then embellished the beautiful top portion with bits and pieces of vintage lace and crocheted items. But I have to say probably my most favorite part is the black bird. This jacket was a wonderful find. It had, as they say, "good-bones"!  When a garment is like a blank canvas, the imagination takes over. Even though it's freezing outside, I know that Spring and Summer is just right around the corner - cause I can feel it!
 So it's time to start making more pantaloons - and I have picked-up some wonderful slacks just ready for the adornment of lace and what-not. I have black and white poka-dot ones and striped ones - just ready for the conversion!  They'll be posted soon. I adore Black and White garments! I'm sure I've mentioned this in previous posts (LOL)!  But, alas, I can't help it.  And, did I mention, I'm hopelessly in love with "poka-dots"! So when I come across a garment that has two of my most favorites things - IT'S MINE!

So here you have a beautiful cotton white skirt with black embroidered poka-dots and embellishments. Then I found this cute little short skirt with tons of soft and flirty black ruffles. Put the two together and ooo-la-la, you have this wonderful garment.
