French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Tank-top "Art Nouveau Lady" - $48.00

Just love this print. Again, I used the stretchy black nylon lace and it really did work perfectly. I'm really enjoying working with these tops and changing them from t-shirts into something a little bit more dressy! Just posted this on Etsy. Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Tattered-chic Tank-top - "Hummingbird" - SOLD

Well - I've really enjoyed making these tops. I guess it's because each one is "unique" in it's own way. None two are alike and they all kind of call attention to themselves in there own special way.  This one is "Hunningbird". And it has a lot of beautiful beading on it. The hummngbird is trimmed out in pale green beads. SOLD

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Tank-top "Wildwest"- $48.00

Wildwest!

Beautiful Colors

Rustic Ruffles
I must confess, I'm not much on country items but I couldn't help falling "in-love" with this top and it's because of the beautiful colors. Since it is country, I didn't want to add lace but instead I found a mini-skirt with tons of ruffles in just the right color. When I took it apart I had just enough fabric to make the flounce for the bottom portion. I just love it and I've posted it on Etsy. Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Tattered Chic Tank - $74.00

Tattered Chic!
I really adore how this top turned out!
The fabric was a skirt I found last Summer. When I find a print I love I'm very thoughtful about what I want to do with it. I want to make sure it's upcycled into a garment that will really stand-out. So when I came across this petal pink chiffon rose applique - I knew right away that these two pieces of rescued items would be perfect for each other. The garment has just been posted on Etsy. Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Crocheted Dress - $135.00

Upcycled Crochet Dress

Crochet Ribbon

The last time I crocheted anything was back in the 70's! But you know, it's like riding a bicycle - it all comes back to you!  LOL!  Evenutally!!!!
Layers of Crochet
This all started with this simple beautiful crocheted white top. I wanted to make it into an ensemble over a vintage slip AND to be able to wear it by itself. So I added crocheted strips of ribbon fringe on the bottom and then crocheted small little flower disks.
In regards to the vintage slip. I chose a pale peach color that looks wonderful under white - very flesh-tone so it gives an elusion. I crocheted a six inch portion to match the same pattern as the top and attached it by hand to the bottom of the slip. The middle portion was actually resqued from a linen skirt. I took that an attached it to the vintage slip. Then on the bottom of the slip I attached a vintage pleated nylon lace from another vintage slip.  I love the over-all look. Had some left-over fabric from the trim and made it into a small rose and put a pin-enclosure on the back.
In regards to the top being worn by itself, say over a pair of blue-jeans, I crocheed a large white flower, as shown in the last picture.  I really did have a lot of fun with this garment even though it was very time-consuming - got to watch a lot of TV!
Currently this garment is on it's way to "Altered Couture" Magazine for a photo-shoot for one of their up-coming issues. If interested in this garment, I can have it back here to ship-out in three weeks.
Just By Itself!

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Tank-top "Chardonnay" - $48.00

"Chardonnay"
I have so many of these adorable shirts that I believe are "works-of-art" in their own right. So I'm always looking to incorporate them into different garments. Recently, as posted, I've been using them for beret's. But I wanted to do something a little different so this garment is my most recent creation. They're lite and a breeze to wear but have a little "sass" to them. I adore the cotton net lace along the bottom and at the neck. Enjoy!  I've just posted "Chardonnay" at my Etsy shop. PLEASE NOTE: This top is currently on it's way to "Altered Couture" Magazine for a photo-shoot.

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Bolero Jacket - $64.00

I adore white eyelet fabric. Nothing speaks Spring and Summer than "eyelet". When I see it, all sorts of idea's pop into my head. This is a perfect example. Originally starting out as a long-sleeved button-down blouse, it slowly transformed itself into this precious bolero jacket.  It all started with the crocheted ecru colored collar which has tiny little white pearls crocheted into it. On the collar I attached two pieces of vintage French lace. On the bottom are are two layers of lace. Top layer is ecru and underneath, creamy white see-thru lace. I made sure to trim out the edge of the short sleeves. So perfect and you can find this at my Etsy Shop. Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Reversible Beret and Matching Bag - $62.00

I really enjoyed making this because it gave me the opportunity to use this unique fringe that I've been hoarding now for over two years. I new I would find a wonderfull purpose for it - and it was well worth the wait!  The fabric is a stretchy crinkled nylon velvet that was a little girls' dress and it had two style patterns on it. The reverse side of the beret is from a t-shirt and the colors matched so well, like they were meant to be together! I've just posted this ensemble on Etsy. Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Leather Suede Shoes - $34.00

Vintage Style Shoes

Vintage Lace!

Wedding Shoes!
When I came across these shoes, my first thought was "wedding shoes?". I guess because of the style of shoe, the color and particularly, the heel! Very old fashioned looking. Then I thought about if it were for a wedding, I would put vintage lace on it. I have so many vintage dolies so I took two small ones and hot-glued them to the top of the shoe. The bone color was so perfect for a vintage look. So perfect, so vintage, so wedding! These shoes can be found on my Etsy store. Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Embellished Black Velvet Jacket - $112.00

Black Velvet Jacket

Single Rose

Beautiful Bouquet
Working on this little black velvet jacket seemed to take
F-O-R-E-V-E-R!  But I think it was well worth it. Since all the appliques were put on by hand - it took a little while. Plus, I kept on moving them from one section to another. I guess I just wanted to get it just-right!
The ruffle and bustle in the back was another extensive project. I just kept pinning and moving and pinning and moving but that too, I'm happy with the out-come!
I just placed this garment up on my Etsy shop! Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Pink and Black Sweater - $52.00

Pink and Black Parisian Style Sweaer

Featured in Altered Couture Magazine

This sweater, in a previous life, had sleeves and a cowl neck. Alas, I in-visioned something different. The pink and black stripes seemed like it should have a "Parisian" look to it. Luckily the sleeves were a ragland style and so were easy to remove and gave it the right shap. Then I just removed the cowl neck and it was then ready for triming with black chiffon and adding the ties at the sholders. A simple chiffon flower pin on the bottom is the perfect accent! This gorgeous garment was featured in "Altered Couture" Magazine! If interested, you can purchase this on my Etsy shop. Enjoy!
Oooo-la-la!

French Sugar Parisian Reversible Beret and Purse - $52.00

I love this print and I used every scrap of fabric for this creation. This T-shirt was different as it had voile print sleeves which had beading on the cuffs.  I especially love how the purse turned out - very chic!  Just posted this item on my Etsy shop - Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Pretty in Pink Upcycled Linen Shirt - $58.00

Pretty In Pink
This was one of my most favorite projects and I guess because the shirt was Linen. The color of the shirt just oozed feminity too! So basically, it was just removing the sleeves and top portion of the shirt and taking all that fabric and re-working it into roses and ruffles and braids. Then the task in hand was where and how to re-attach it to the shirt. I was very happy how it turned out and now it's so so fem and sexy for the Spring and Summer.
