 I really adore how this top turned out!
The fabric was a skirt I found last Summer. When I find a print I love I'm very thoughtful about what I want to do with it. I want to make sure it's upcycled into a garment that will really stand-out. So when I came across this petal pink chiffon rose applique - I knew right away that these two pieces of rescued items would be perfect for each other.The garment has just been posted on Etsy. This lovely garment SOLD!

This upcycled garment began with the white cotton top. I added a white cotton skirt to the bottom and then went crazy with all kinds of embellishments. I used an assortment of appliques, battenburg and cotton laces. But what I truly love, is the blackbird print on the back. The dress reminds me of the 1930's and has that dreamy look to it. Perfect garment for an afternoon tea or wedding. This garment can be found on my Etsy site. Enjoy!
