This garment came to life with the skirt. Created from yards and yards of black tulle, it was originally paired with a black corset which sold to a girl in California for her prom. The vintage 1940's taffeta slip, which I believe, was just waiting for this skirt. But I wanted to upcycle the slip so that it could be worn just as a dress. So I added on the front a gorgeous black chiffon rose applique. The skirt is then wrapped around the waist and tied into a beautiful bow. I will truly miss this garment when it's gone!
