I found this bright yellow and orange tye-dyed T-shirt and WOW, it looked awesome! So I decided to use it with this beautiful French parisian flowered and verbage T-shirt and I think the combination is gorgeous. It's reversible, so you get two entirely different looks! I really lucked out and found a bunch of crocheted deep orange flowers.  So I added some beading in the center and a pin-enclosure on the back and it fits so well with the style of this hat. I'm really excited about how well this pairing worked out. I just finished posting this on my Etsy shop. Enjoy!

French Sugar Parisian Upcycled Espadrilles - $28.00



Tre Chic!



It's that time of year for finding all those wonderful "espadrilles" and making them look incredibly gorgeous! These are an example of what can be done. These are new, never worn, and I wanted to give them a fancy look. I used vintage ecru doilies, gathered them in the center and hot-glued a beautiful big black button in the center. Then I just hot-glued them to the top of the shoe!  Wa-la! Very tre chic! These lovelies can be found at my Etsy shop! Enjoy!

This was one of my most favorite projects and I guess because the shirt was Linen. The color of the shirt just oozed feminity too! So basically, it was just removing the sleeves and top portion of the shirt and taking all that fabric and re-working it into roses and ruffles and braids. Then the task in hand was where and how to re-attach it to the shirt. I was very happy how it turned out and now it's so so fem and sexy for the Spring and Summer.

Pinks and Browns


Here are the first three sets of Upcycled Reversible Beret's and matching Purses. I have to say these were a blast to make. I love mixing and matching fabrics and embellishments. Considering there's a huge volume of T-shirts out there with a lot of variety of colors and prints - you just can't go wrong. I was able to make all the flowers and braided straps for the hats and purses which makes them even more personalized.
But don't hesitate to look for items that are already made that can be used!

French Sugar Parisian Altered Couture "Cowgirl" Halter-top - $78.00

Cowgirl Halter-top!

You know, I love these T-shirts with the arwork on them. I just think they're are so versatile and you can do so many things with them. So times I have so many idea's, it's over-whelming.

So for this top with the "Cowgirl Wildwest" theme, I wanted to go more primitive style. So after cutting off all the parts I didn't want on the garment, like the sleeves and back, I took them, tore them in strips and used them as the trim on the bottom. The bottom brown ruffles is a left-over scrap frm a skirt. Around the neck I used dark brown chiffon roses. You know a cow-girl can be "fem" too! But the back, to me, is the most interesting. It's a halter-top with a different twist. I used chiffon fabric as the straps and made it an interesting way to tie it in the back.
